Our Sales Staff
Tony Harris Tony is the owner and president of Controlled Motion. He has over 35 years of sales experience in the power transmission sales. He started working for the Mize Company, Inc, of Charlotte NC in 1964, where he was an outside salesman for eight years. He purchased the company in 1972 and was the owner for 10 years. He decided to sell the Mize Company in 1982 and enter the agency sales business. In 1986 he established Controlled Motion. Over the past 35 years Tony has established a very loyal and extensive customer base. He has become a relied upon resource by a wide array of customers in a broad spectrum of industries.
Chip Harris Chip joined Controlled Motion in 1992 as a sales engineer. He is responsible for the growth in the sales in North Carolina and South Carolina. Chip has a loyal following among the power transmission distributors and electric motor shops, and is a vital part to the success of Controlled Motion.
Jim Mildrum
Jim Mildrum is the Controlled Motion salesman that is responsible for the sales in Virginia. Jim worked for Boston Gear for 12 years covering Virginia. His knowledge of the customer base and his product knowledge make him a valuable asset to Controlled Motion.
Cindy Weeks Cindy joined our inside sales staff in December of 1999. She is responsible for answering inquiries from the customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. These inquiries cover a wide range of subjects from product specification, pricing and availability to customer satisfaction issues. She is also responsible for the direct supervision of our shipping and receiving department and warehouse facility.
David Muff David became a member of our inside sales team June of 2001. He brings a wealth of experience on dealing with our customer set. His experience was gained while working in the marketing and customer relations departments of IBM Corp. over a thirty-year period.
Kelly Childers Kelly joined our inside sales team in November 2003. He has transitioned over from the computer industry where he worked for Nettech Consultants. He has a vast knowledge of computer technology which is becoming more prevalent in today’s industrial power transmission industry.
